Stuffed With Gratitude

A drawing of a turkey on a platter with cards scattered about that read: Thanks, Family, Friends, Faith, Health, etc.

Welcome to the first issue of The Cucamonga Scoop. We are Rancho Cucamonga's only weekly publication that delivers community news and updates.

The turkey is done, the cleanup is done (hopefully), and the leftovers are calling. Hopefully you spent time reflecting on the things which make your life joyous and full. Maybe you are stuffed with both turkey 🦃 and gratitude 🙏.

What's happening

  1. 80 Seniors living at Heritage Park Apartments had their tires slashed by a fellow resident in the complex. A fundraiser has been setup to help the residents.
  2. Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department and the City of Rancho Cucamonga have once again teamed up to participate in the Spark of Love Toy Drive. New and unwrapped toys for children under the age of 15 can be dropped off at all 7 fire stations, Biane & Archibald Library, Central Park, or City Hall.
  3. This Saturday (November 26) is Small Business Saturday. Be sure to visit your favorite small businesses around Rancho and show them some love. Try the Alta Loma Farmer's Market on Sunday at Alta Loma High School.

Did you know?

Production has wrapped on Flamin' Hot, the film adaptation of the story of Richard Montañez. Produced by Eva Longoria, the film is based on the story of Richard Montañez inventing Flamin' Hot Cheetos in the Rancho Cucamonga Frito Lay plant. The truth of the story is questionable but one thing is true – we'll get to see it play out in movie form sometime soon. A release date has not yet been set.
